November 5, 2024

Fort Lauderdale continues to earn recognition as a city on the rise and an incredible destination to live, work, and visit. Here is an overview of some of the recent rankings that put our city in the national spotlight and highlight our quality of life.

2025 ULI/PwC Emerging Trends in Real Estate

Fort Lauderdale continues to rank as one of the top 18-hour cities in the country alongside Charlotte, Denver, and Minneapolis. This year's rankings highlight Fort Lauderdale's best performance in this publication in the last five years.

  • ULI ranks Fort Lauderdale as the 2nd best city in the country for homebuilding prospects, ahead of Miami (25th), Austin (27th), Nashville (35th), and West Palm Beach (38th).

  • Fort Lauderdale ranked 16th in the country for overall real estate market prospects, an improvement from 33rd as recently as 2021.

  • While investor sentiment remains heavily weighted against buying offices nationally, only 2 markets this year received more “buy” than “sell” recommendations: Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Destination for Foodies

Our community ranked higher than major cities like Washington DC, Houston, Philadelphia, Boston, and Nashville.

Wallet Hub also recently ranked the best places to retire. Fort Lauderdale placed 5th due to the quality of its amenities and overall livability.

We're so grateful that Fort Lauderdale continues to earn national recognition as a great city to live, work, and visit.
